The 1st Maryland Artillery, C.S.A. is a Mid-Atlantic states-based Civil War reenactment unit that portrays Confederate Artillery from the American Civil War era (1861-1865). The unit participates in battle reenactments, living histories at period locations (usually mansions & homes), “tacticals”, local parades, and conducts presentations for schools, institutions, and civic groups in the Mid-Atlantic region of southern Pennsylvania, Maryland, West Virginia, and northern Virginia. We currently have members in Pennsylvania and Maryland. We participate in mainstream and campaign-style events.
